Handcrafted in Portugal
Our Ollas are handmade in Portugal by our master potters, in the workshops of Ana & Vitor, located in the Leiria region, which has been working with ceramics for generations. Each of our ollas is a unique handcrafted object — no two have exactly the same texture and surface, which makes each one truly one of a kind.
A system as old as the (fired) earth
Ollas use an ancient technique that dates back to antiquity: the natural porosity of the ceramic allows water to escape slowly and directly at root level, ensuring targeted watering and hydration. It's a method that respects the natural rhythm of plants, providing them with the water they need, when they need it.

Frequently asked questions
What is an olla?
An olla is a terracotta pot designed to water your plants autonomously and efficiently. It gradually releases water to keep your plants continuously hydrated.
How do I use an olla?
Plant the olla in the pot, next to your plant, and make sure to leave part of the olla sticking out. Fill it with water and that's it! All you have to do is watch your plants grow!
How often should I refill the olla?
Generally, filling the olla once a week is enough, but this can vary depending on climate conditions and the type of plant.
Can I use an olla with all my plants?
Yes, ollas are suitable for all green plants, whether indoors or outdoors.
They are ideal for plants that need constantly moist soil.
Just remember, if you use them outdoors, bring them inside when it freezes ❄
Can the olla damage my plants?
No, the olla releases water in a measured way, preventing the risk of overwatering and supporting the optimal health of your plants 💚
Where should I place the olla in the pot for maximum effectiveness?
Place the olla near your plant so that water is evenly distributed to the roots. Make sure the olla is in good contact with the soil.
What should I do if I go on holiday?
The olla is an ideal solution for keeping your plants hydrated while you're away. Fill it with water before you leave, and it will take care of your plants until you're back.
For longer getaways, we recommend watering the surface and filling your olla — it will then take over as soon as your plant has absorbed the surface water.
Does the olla work with pots of all sizes?
Yes, we offer different sizes of ollas to suit different pots and different plants.
For pots smaller than 15cm in diameter, we recommend our Mini Ollas
How do I care for my olla?
Rinse the olla with clean water from time to time to remove any mineral build-up. And that's it!
